BIRMINGHAM AIRPORT

After a televison program showed security guards who were supposed to be checking baggage asleep Birmingham airport have just announced a £100,000 shake up on security measures.

As a result of the program 13 members of staff were let go and the security company in charge lost the security contract for Birmingham airport.

Birminghams new securiy measures will focus on baggage screening, fuel companies and airport cleaners.

Manchester airport are going to run more routes out of Manchester this summer. The new routes will ensure that they are offering more destinations than any other airport in the uk. Alongside this the new routes will have them offering more destinations than some US airports. Read complete article
