Birmingham International is located 10km from the city centre just off the M42, has two terminal buildings and offers flights to and from over 100 destinations around the world. Terminal 1 handles the majority of Charter flights out of Birmingham for companies such as Air France, Continental Airlines and Lufthansa. Terminal 2 is generally used for all (BA) British Airways flights.

There are many bars & restaurants within the terminals, restaurants ranging from self service, fast food, sandwich bars, cafe's & lite bite restaurants. The airport also has many shops selling products such as last minute essentials, health & beauty, clothing, convenience items, electronics, cd's, books, fashion accessories, chocolates & newspapers.

Birmingham airport advises to arrive for check-in 90 minutes before boarding unless otherwise stated by the airline. Amenities within the terminal include restaurants, shops, ATMs, currency exchange booths and a multi-faith prayer room.

Special assistance for less mobile passengers is available in the airport if booked 48 hours in advance.
