June 18th, 2010 by admin

OK everybody we know it has been a long time coming but you can now all chat with us live using our new live chat feature.

All you have to do to get one of our operators is click on the “Chat with MF Airport Parking” link that is located on our home page on the right hand side within the cleverly put together white speech bubble and you are seconds away from having one of our operators answer all of your questions.

This facility will officially only be available Monday through to Friday during normal office hours although you will probably find that our MD Mark Farrell will run it constantly and handle all your queries himself.

We have decided to add this feature to answer any queries you may have so we can make your experience with MF Airport parking whilst booking your Heathrow Airport Parking or Gatwick Airport Parking that little bit easier.

It doesn’t matter what page you are on always look out for our white speech bubble as we have tried to include it in as many places as possible so you our customers never need to get stuck and leave.

BAA Heathrow Airport News

June 17th, 2010 by admin

Heathrow Airport seems to be jumping on the green issue band wagon for a second year which is excellent news for the environment. MF Airport Parking would like to say well done to BAAs Heathrow Airport for initiating this campaign yet again and hopefully we can do something similar and take a leaf out of their book.

Heathrow are encouraging their staff to leave their cars at home and bike it to work. This may send shivers down a lot of people’s spines but it is proving to be really popular at Heathrow Airport. Having teamed up with Halfords the UK’s largest cycling retailer Heathrow staff can now benefit from tax relief if they sign up to the Cycle2Work scheme that is being initiated by the government in a bid to help the environment. As well as tax relief Heathrow airport bosses are also passing on the VAT savings from the rental of the bikes and equipment back to any staff member who is taking part. Not only that, after the 12 months is over staff will then have the opportunity to purchase the back out right for a nominal fee.

Heathrow’s transport strategy manager, Theo Panayi, said: “This exciting scheme is being made available again to all BAA staff at Heathrow. We hope that with this financial incentive, more employees will be encouraged to make the move from four wheels to two, saving themselves money, and helping us reduce congestion around the airport in the process.”

The scheme will help Heathrow in achieving their target of reducing employee car use by 1% year on year at the airport. Around 800 people a day cycle to work at the airport and to make it easier, BAA Heathrow have also provided off road cycle lanes on the Southern, Western and Eastern Perimeter Roads; at Terminal 5 and in the Colne Valley.

Well done Heathrow Airport.
